Annotation : This four movement work by clarinetist Sean Osborn features many different characters. The writing is highly individualistic, requiring excellent ensemble mechanics and adequate individual preparation. The range of the work extends to G 4 and is evenly spread between the four parts. The work’s hocketing is also challenging as it requires consistent internal rhythm. The final movement is written in dorian mode, offering an opportunity to support this concept through repertoire.
