Annotation: As one of Kibbe’s more challenging works for clarinet ensemble, this quartet requires each ensemble member to have confidence in his or her part. The mixed meter writing, fast articulated passages, and heavily chromatic writing will require practice on both individual and ensemble levels. There are four movements in all, each lasting between 2’30” and 3’30”.
