Annotation : A work of substantial length (over 23 minutes), Quatuor de Clarinettes is comprised of three movements. The composer indicates the use of basset horn (can be played on third Bb) which adds an additional color. Many schools do not have access to quality basset horns, so it may be necessary to perform this work with three Bb clarinets. The range of the work extends to A# 4 . The work requires highly precise ensemble mechanics due to its frequent handoffs and hocketing between parts.
