 +**Annotation** : Compositions by clarinet virtuoso Ernesto Cavallini are known for their technically 
 +demanding writing. Cavallini was highly attuned to the instruments capabilities and as such, did 
 +as much as he could to display them in his works, such as these study duets. The two parts are 
 +equal in demand, requires agile fingers and fast articulation. There are three movements in each 
 +duo, and similar to the duos of Bouffil, they follow the fast-slow-fast movement structure. The 
 +writing expands to G4 in both parts, and the composer frequently employs wide leaps that move 
 +from notes in the altissimo register to notes in the chalumeau or vice versa.
