Annotation : This work features five-movement work features distinct characters in each movement. The range extends to G4, but overall, the range is centered around the clarion and chalumeau registers. The work utilizes common time signatures and for the most part remains in the same time and key signatures throughout each movement. The most challenging movement from a technical standpoint is IV which functions as a study in quintuplets and sextuplets.
