Annotation: This three movement trio moves through three distinct moods: a furious and fast first movement, a tranquil second movement, and finally a raucous tango third movement. Technical demands of the final movement are perhaps the highest, but the other movements also require ensemble precision in articulation and hocketing. In many cases, the composer requires the ensemble to play at pp dynamics while also playing high in their ranges, particularly in the first movement. Additionally, the bass clarinet must have the ability to play to low D.
