Annotation : Bamert spent the majority of his career as a conductor, but did study composition with modern greats Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen. This work is mostly unknown, perhaps due to its mixed instrumentation and difficult ensemble writing. The hocketing of the parts is the most challenging aspect of this work and it requires an ensemble with great communication and listening abilities. The dynamics are primarily soft to very soft and will also cause additional challenges with intonation for the players.
