Annotation: Though the original autograph of the Five Divertimenti was lost, records of correspondence from those close to him show that the works are attributed to Mozart. These works are important as they are connected to Anton Stadler, the clarinetist that inspired the Clarinet Concerto and Quintet. Each divertimento consists of four movements in classical forms. Despite appearing technically approachable, these works, much like all works from the classical era, are challenging through the exposed nature of the writing, intonation, and style.
