Annotation : A relatively short, three-movement work, Diaphonic Suite No. 3 will challenge even professional musicians. Frequent metric shifts in the first movement of this work create a sense of instability as both players fight for independence of line. Seeger pushes the ability level of the players by pushing the range as well (to A4). Players will need to practice their own parts before they play together as the melodic lines are highly individual.
