**Annotation** : Henry Lazarus was known during his life as one of the leading British clarinet virtuosi. His compositions for clarinet display his complete understanding of the instrument’s tendencies and challenges. These duos, each in two long movements, are technically demanding, but the overall range remains within chalumeau and clarion registers. The most challenging aspect of these duos is stamina, as the length of the movements with repeats is particularly long.
