Lefèvre was a well-known clarinet virtuoso in Paris at the turn of the 19th century. His playing was equally matched to his compositional ability for the instrument. Though there are six duos in the collection, this edition only contains nos. 1 and 2. The writing in these duos is not particularly challenging and the range rarely enters the altissimo register. ---- {{:lefevre_six_duos_concertant.png?nolink|}}
