The work’s two movements are written in two very different moods: movement 1 is a pastorale and movement 2 is a musical evocation of bagpipes. The writing is substantially individualistic, but the range never exceeds F#4. There are frequent tempo and metrics shifts which will create an additional challenge for ensembles. ---- {{:homage_to_pan:takacs_homage.png?nolink|}}
