**Annotation** : This short work in four movements moves through each movement’s mood
quickly, leaving little opportunity to dwell on the music. The music uses 12 tone and evolves
through the composer’s utilization of retrograde and other forms of the row. The work is not
complex on the surface, but understanding what is happening to the row and conveying that in
such short movements is the challenge.
